Description: The Swiss in the former South West Africa

Within the framework of a proposed History of the Swiss Emigration to Southern Africa, which was started a number of years ago by a group of interested Swiss citizens living in South Africa, and to which the author had already contributed a book in 1985 regarding the Swiss in former Rhodesia, he here has the pleasure of presenting another volume concerning Swiss immigrants to the former South West Africa. This work is meant as a documentation contributing to the history of Swiss emigration and presents a collection of biographies of more than 200 Swiss Citizens who have settled in this country. The book covers the period from the first years of European exploration right up to Independence as Namibia 1990.
