About: Namibia, Our Country, Our Beer

Author Bernd Masche, as former Managing Director, has been closely associated with the Ohlthaver & List Group of Companies and Namibia Breweries Ltd. for over forty years and has witnessed a large part of the company's history. It was an eventful time with many challenges, developments and events. The fact that thus far very little has been written about the history of the brewery encouraged Bernd Masche to write Namibia, Our Country, our Beer. It fills a large gap in the history of brewery, breweries and its beers in Namibia, focussing specificallly on the years 1967 to 2003. In 'Namibia, Our Country, Our Beer' he describes how a dilapidated plant evolved into a modern brewery and how NBL established its prominence both in the local and South African markets while also gaining international recognition.
