Das Projekt „Short Story Day Africa“ 2017 lädt, in Kooperation mit dem Goethe-Institut Namibia, afrikanische Schriftsteller zu einem Workshop nach Windhoek ein.

Diese Workshops werden jährlich an den Goethe-Instituten Afrikad angeboten. Die Themen der Workshops setzen sich mit den sozialen und kulturellen Entwicklungen des Kontinents auseinander. Das diesjährige Thema des Workshops lautet korrespondierend zum Motto des Kurzgeschichtentags „ID: der primitive und instinktive Aspekt der menschlichen Persönlichkeit mit seinen Erinnerungen und sexuellen Wünschen“. Der Kurzgeschichtentag Afrika findet am 03.06.2017 in Windhoek statt. Der Short Story Day Afrika will dem gängigen Afrika-Bild etwas entgegensetzen: Authentisch erzählte Geschichten mit dem Blick von innen, nicht von außen. Die Veranstaltung soll Schriftsteller, Leser, Buchhändler, Verleger, Lehrer und Schulkinder aus aller Welt zusammenbringen.
