Die Karte ist wasser- und reißfest hergestellt, weist Höhenlinien in 10m-Schritten auf und stellt auf zwei Seiten die Region Fish Hoek/Simon’s Town im Süden der Kaphalbinsel dar. GPS-Anwendern kommt das UTM-Kartengitter mit durchlaufenden Linien bei allen 200 m bei der Vorplanung und Koordinatenermittlung sehr entgegen. Hilfreich sind die Abstufungen in der Darstellung der Vegetations- und Gesteinstypen, sie reichen über verschiedene Fynbosarten, Wald- und Grasflächen zu Sandflächen und Felsansammlungen. Wie bei Slingsby üblich, ist die Legende sehr differenziert nach Wegen und sonstiger Infrastruktur angelegt und so finden sich in der Karte Hinweise über Hinweise. Die Vorderseite zeigt das Gebiet Clovelly/Fish Hoek/ Glencairn bis hin zu den Noordhoek Wetlands und Kommetjie/Witsand. Die Rückseite deckt das Gebiet Simon's Town/Red Hill/Scarborough ab und weist etliche Details und Informationen zum historischen Stadtgebiet und dem Boulders Penguin Reserve auf. Noordhoek Beach Peter Slingsby made his first published map in 1972, and by 1990 was well known for his maps of the South African National Hiking Way, the Drakensberg, Table Mountain, etc. Whether it be a hiking map or a touring map, Peter believes that, like a good directory, the more info a map contains the more use it is.
