Description:

The production of this beautiful photo book took place over three life-changing years, in which Gerald and Marc Hoberman covered the length and breadth of Namibia. At the time of the first editon they set out on one of their many father-and-son photographic expeditions. Driving from their hometown of Cape Town they crossed the border from South Africa to Namibia border at Noordoewer and were met with the sheer majesty of Namibia's ancient, arid south, a theatre of geological wonders, silent, vast and pristine. The Namibia 'bug' had bit and the Hobermans travelled, cameras-a-clicking, through the immense country until to its most northern parts of Ohangwena and the lush Caprivi, marvelling all the way at the staggering diversity packed into one country. This luxurious coffee-table book has been very successful, and instead of updating it, the publishers have recently printed a totally new, even bigger and impressive edition. The exquisite design and craftsmanship make this precious book a very representative memorabilia or present.
