Inland Fishes and Fisheries of Namibia is a groundbreaking record and first of its kind for Namibia. Scientifically orientated of the topic of freshwater fish in Namibia, it has, however, at the same time been written in such a way that it also offers a leisurely journey for the layman wishing to increase general knowledge about Namibia's freshwater fishes.
Glenn S. Merron has conducted extensive fisheries research in southern Africa including the Kavango River, Okavango Delta, Botswana and the Phongolo River and its floodplain in northern Zululand, South Africa. He is the founder of Inland Ecosystems Inc., a leading environmental consulting firm based in Reno, Nevada.
Prof. Charles H. Hocutt has nearly 40 years fisheries experience in n southern Africa. He was twice awarded Senior Fulbright Research Fellowships to Zimbabwe and Namibia, and was instrumental in the initiation of the Department of Ichthyology & Fisheries Science (DIFS), Rhodes University, South Africa. He is a Resident of Namibia, lives in Omaruru.
