About: Who's Who Engineering Namibia 2016/2017 (Volume 7)

The Harambee Prosperity Plan, launched by President Hage Geingob in April 2016 during his second State of the Nation Address as Namibia's development programme from 2016 to 2020, is an action plan towards Prosperity for All. Indeed, it is a noble goal. However, barely six months later economic realities forced a cash-strapped Government to call a halt on all infrastructural projects that were not already underway. Thus, ultimately the plan will be judge on how it performs in practice against its own benchmarks and whether it is able to convert rhetoric into action. In this, the seventh edition of the Who's Who Engineering Namibia, we shine the limelight on the Harambee Prosperity Plan as related to the engineering industry, as we came to realise that although many Namibians have a vague idea about the basics of the plan, few know the details thereof. In addition, we showcase projects within the three engineering-related sectors of ENERGY, TRANSPORTATION and WATER. I'd like to say a special word of thanks to all our participating companies, without your support we would not be able to publish Who's Who Engineering Namibia for the industry. So thank you, and keep telling us about the work you do and, very importantly, keep reading!
