The species accounts in A Photographic Guide to Tracks and Tracking in Southern Africa are arranged in logical order, from reptiles and amphibians through the ground-feeding birds to the mammalian predators and herbivores. Each account carries at least one full-colour photograph of the relevant life form, illustrations of the footprint and, where appropriate, of other signs, and a brief description of the animal, its size, habitat, habits, food, spoor and other signs of its presence.
