Incorruptible: The story of the murders of Dulcie September, Anton Lubowski and Chris Hani tells the story of the political assassinations of three brave activists and freedom fighters: Dulcie September, Anton Lubowski and Chris Hani. Evelyn Groenink has unearthed how these comrades were murdered to make way for unscrupulous business deals, self-enrichment and political and military power. Underpinning this research is the geopolitics of apartheid; the quest for profit at any cost; the unscrupulous alliances; and the role of the apartheid state and homelands.

It's also a reaffirmation of brave and principled democrats, activists and freedom fighters for whom principles trumped opportunism, selflessness triumphed over selfish interests, and sacrifice in the national interest came first. There are glimpses of a different species of state capture in a different political and global context. Yet the similarities to the present are there for us to learn from - and not repeat. Evelyn Groeninks research shows us, firstly, that state capture is indeed not new: that unethical people in the public and private sector have collaborated for a long time for the purpose of removing or side-lining those who stand in the way of their hunger for power and wealth. In some ways this is a function of the global dynamics and political economy.

Incorruptible: The story of the murders of Dulcie September, Anton Lubowski and Chris Hani shows us that what divides right from wrong is mainly ethics. Dulcie September, Anton Lubowski and Chris Hani were comrades and activists who put their people and their country first. They stood for what was right. They sacrificed for the democratic ideals of millions of South Africans. We see the same division and dynamics between right and wrong today. This book should be read so that we can, once again, be inspired by their lives and sacrifices and unite in a new national momentum to renew our commitment to a truly democratic, non-racial, non-sexist South Africa.
