Der deutsche Meeresbiologe Thomas P. Peschak arbeitet am Marine Biology Research Institute der University of Cape Town und für die Currents of Contrast Productions. Sein Lebensmittelpunkt ist Südafrika, die Unterwasserfotografie und die Hai-Forschung. Über diese und die Küstenfauna und -flora hat Thomas P. Peschak einige Bücher geschrieben. Für Africa Geographic und das BBC Wildlife Magazine schreibt er regelmäßig Beiträge und ist der offizielle Fotograf des WWF-SA Aquatic Program.
