Die Botanikerin (M.Sc.) Coleen Mannheimer war einige Jahre Kuratorin des National Herbarium of Namibia und ist seit einigen Jahren als freiberufliche Beraterin für botanisch-ökologische Fragen und Projekte tätig. Neben zahlreichen wissenschaftlichen Aufsätzen in Journalen und Schriftenreihen, hat sie einige Fach- und Bestimmungsbücher über die Flora Namibias geschrieben oder an diesen als Co-Autorin mitgearbeitet. Coleen Mannheimer arbeitet eng mit dem National Botanical Research Institute zusammen und ist Mitglied der Botanical Society of Namibia.
