Amanda T. Takaendesa hat an der University of Namibia (UNAM) die Grade BJuris and LLB (Hons.) in Rechtswissenschaften erlangt und wurde, als beste Studentin des Bachelor-Studienganges, 2010 mit der Vice Chancellor's Medal ausgezeichnet. Vor ihrem Studium hatte Amanda T. Takaendesa bereits ein Diplom als Mathematiklehrerin in Simbabwe erworben. 2012 schloß die Juristin mit dem Grad Master of Laws (LLM) in Umwelt- und Verwaltungsrecht an der North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus) in Südafrika ab. Derzeit bereitet sich Amanda T. Takaendesa dort auf ihre Doktorarbeit vor und ist als Forschungsassistentin des Dekan der juristischen Fakultät tätig. Seit ihrer Heirat trägt sie den Familiennamen Mugadza. Für das von Prof. Dr. Manfred O. Hinz, Prof. Dr. Oliver C. Ruppel und Clever Mapaure herausgegebenen Werk über Gewohnheits- und Umweltrecht in Namibia, Knowledge lives in the lake, hat die Juristin einen Beitrag geschrieben.
