The Namibian Uranium Institute cordially invites you to the following Workshop: Introduction to Radiation and Uranium for members of the public.

Radiation safety is an issue that many residents of the Erongo Region are concerned about. Often there are misconceptions which lead to speculation and unnecessary anxiety. This short workshop has been re-designed to be tailor-made for members of the public, who wish to learn more about up-to-date and quality assured radiation information. After an introduction to background radiation, it covers the different types of radiation, biological effects and radiation safety. The course is free of charge. Presenter is Dr. Detlof von Oertzen.
