About: Sounds of the Namib Desert (CD Namib Marimbas)

The ensemble, Namibia Marimbas, who's members are all pupils of the Kuisebmond Secondary School in Walvis Bay(Namibia) who contribute their income from selling their CDs to the welfare of their school, have been inspired by the desert itself, when it came to find a motto for the album Sounds of the Namib Desert. Marlene Coulson's contributions on the Namib Desert are read by Ferdinand Hengombe which are accompanied by beautiful Namibian sounds. The CD is mainly self composed by Ferdinand Hengombe with traditional music. Some very nice acapella songs are to be heard, others are instrumental.
