The authors of this book have travelled all over South Africa selecting routes that include the country’s top tourist attractions, as well as lesser-known areas. The result is this collection of circular and linear motoring tours, throughout South Africa and venturing into the neighbouring countries of Lesotho and Swaziland.

Each tour is accompanied by an easy-to-read map and the distance of each route. The descriptions highlight the history, fauna and flora and other interesting features of the area. The highly readable and informative text is complemented by some 450 full-colour photographs that provide an enticing foretaste of what the wanderer can expect to see.

Willie and Sandra Olivier have covered vast areas throughout southern Africa, exploring the region both by road and on foot. They are the authors of Exploring the Natural Wonders of South Africa, Overland through Southern Africa, the highly successful Touring in South Africa and, recently released, Hiking Trails of South Africa. Willie is also a freelance lecturer in journalism, specialising in political reporting. They live in Hochland Park, Windhoek, Namibia.
