Description:

South Africa is a multifaceted jewel in the crown of nations, the awe-inspiring southernmost region of a vast and ancient continent, believed to be the very cradle of humanity. This land of great beauty is rich in scenic splendour and cultural diversity and is arguably unparalleled for its variety of fauna and flora. I consider myself blessed to be one of her sons. I have travelled the length and breadth of South Africa. I have climbed high mountains, crossed the vast Kalahari Desert, and have been on spectacular helicopter flights, boat rides, 4x4 expeditions and the like. Armed with my cameras, a panoply of lenses and lots of film, I have taken many photographs of the magic moments I encountered along the way. Those willing to travel 'off the beaten track' will be rewarded by refreshingly unsophisticated and genuine old-fashioned hospitality and, as I did, encounter delightful and unusual gems.
